It was earlier this month when Apple, an American tech giant launched new range of iPhone in the global market. Now, the company has went on to host its second event of the month, which witnessed the roll out of new products in Brooklyn. The products rolled out at the event ranges from new iPad and Mac series. Talking about the new 2018 iPad Pro, the tablet now comes with narrow bezels that ruled out the Home button to make place for Face ID that is located on the top bezel.
The new 2018 iteration of Apple iPad Pro is offered in 2 variants, which varies as per the size of the screen. The first variant is offered with 11-inch display screen whereas the second variant comes with a 12.9-inch screen. The company also claims that the iPad Pro 2018 comes with a liquid Retina Display that stretches out to the edges from left to right and top to bottom.
On the specification front, the new Apple iPad Pro 2018 comes powered by all-new A12X Bionic chipset, which is claimed to be faster and much better than the one fitted in the 2018 iPhones. The tech giant claims that the processor has an 8-core CPU along with 7-core GPU, which is designed to support intensely rich graphics like AR apps.
The new iPad Pro 2018 also ditches the 3.5mm headphone jack to make way for USB Type-C port that can be used for audio output as well as charging.
The top bezel of iPad Pro 2018 also features two sensors - Ambient Light sensors and a Proximity sensor. The device also features a 7MP FaceTime camera upfront along with TrueDepth camera that is required for the Face ID technology to function. At the rear, there is a 12MP snapper, which is capable of recording 4K videos at 60fps. The device is also made available in 2 exciting shades - Silver and Space Grey. The all-new iPad Pro 2018 is also claimed to carry 50 percent thinner bezels than the predecessors. Likewise iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, the new Apple iPad Pro 2018 too has ditched the home button. This major design change is seen in the favour of Face ID, which is facial scanning technology that was offered on Apple iPhone X.
On the other hand, the new 2018 Apple MacBook Air now features a 13.3-inch Liquid Retina Display, similar to the one that is offered on iPhone XR. However, the one seen on the iPhone XR gets 4 times resolution. The company has also introduced the Touch ID feature on MacBook Air, which is already seen on MacBook Pro devices. Packed with 8th generation Intel Core i5 processor, MacBook Air also gets 16GB of RAM and 1.5TB of SSD storage space along with integrated graphics. Coming to the prices, the new Apple Pencil is priced at $129 where as the smart keyboard Folio will retail at $179. The pre-orders are already open and the devices will go on sale starting from November 7 in the US market. The base variant of MacBook Air 2018 with 8GB of RAM, 128GB SSD & Core i5 processesor is priced at $1199. As the preorders are already live in US, the device will go on sale starting from November 7 onwards.
On the other hand, Apple has priced Mac Mini at $799 for the base variant that comes with quad-core Intel Core i3 chipset clubbed with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD. The device will also be available from November 7 onwards in the US market. However, the company has not revealed the India prices for iPad Pro 2018 and MacBook Air 2018. Apple MacBook Air is priced in India at Rs 1,14,900 for the base variant. However, the prices for the topend model are not known yet. Moreover, Apple Mac Mini is priced in India at Rs 75,000.
