Nvidia has made the decision not to participate at Computex Taiwan 2007 including the no show at the recent CES, in the US, and CeBIT, in Germany, two of the three major international IT trade shows.
Nvidia said the company has changed its strategy over its investments at trade shows. However, although the company will not participate at Computex, it will set up a small display room to showcase new products. Additionally, the company will focus upon cooperation with its partners in the future.
In additional news, in the fourth quarter of 2006 Nvidia had a worldwide graphics chips (both discrete and IGP) market share of 29.1%, while Intel had 37.8% and AMD had 24.3%. In the first quarter of 2007, these figures were 29% for Nvidia, while Intel and AMD had 38.7% and 24.1%, respectively, according to a recent Mercury Research report.
An Nvidia spokesperson has contacted Digitimes to add that the planned display and demo suite will cover an area of 532 square meters
