Quanta Computer shipped 2.2 million notebooks in April 2007, the company's second highest monthly record as compared to 2.4 million units shipped in March, according to company sources.

After shipping 6.2 million notebooks in the first quarter, the company expects its notebook shipments to reach seven million in the second quarter, company president Michael Wang said earlier.

In related news, Quanta posted revenues of NT$187.22 billion (US$5.6 billion) for the first four months of the year, up 32.7% on year, according to company data.
