Weak memory demand has prompted memory makers to request a price decrease of 10% for backend production, according to a Chinese-language newspaper report.
The paper cited sources as saying that memory makers are requesting a reduction of 5-7% in DDR2 testing quotes per hour and packaging price by US$0.10. These DRAM makers reportedly will reduce their ordering amount at packaging and testing houses which refuse to adjust their pricing, noted the paper.
