Some DRAM makers have cut production to minimize their losses from fast falling prices and help create a supply-demand balance in the DRAM market, said an industry sources according to Digitime.
Current prices have reached DRAM production cost at 12-inch fabs on 90nm processes, the sources said. Any further declines would prompt some DRAM makers to stop production completely than lose money, the sources commented.
