Sony launchs two unbelievably compact laptops -- the TZ Series, a stylish new laptop generated from the popular TX Series, and the SZ5, an upgrade to the popular SZ Series.
The new TZ series notebook is designed to blend of portability and performance with a stylish minimalistic casing and keyboard design inspired by the submerged stones of a Japanese water garden. The laptops weighs just 1.19kg, and offers high durability as the notebook's base and lid have been constructed using carbon fibre.
Each model comes equipped with the 11.1-inch X-black LCD screen featuring a color accuracy of 72 percent -- plus power-saving LED illumination that helps extend battery life. An Instant On function that enables users to play DVDs and audio CDs anytime without booting into Windows, with a set of dedicated AV buttons provide the necessary play control.
Powered by the latest Intel Core 2 Duo Ultra-Low Voltage CPU, the TZ has an enhanced battery life with hard disk options that go up to 100GB -- the largest available for a notebook this size. An integrated DVD1R/RW RAM optical drive featuring Double Layer (DL) technology is also included for double the capacity.
Sony's G-Sensor Hard Disk protection is also included to prevent any damage happening to the hard drive should you accidentally drop the machine.
A range of exclusive TZ models is available at Sony Style, offering a selection of seven different specifications with a choice of colors (black, platinum sand, and carbon fibre) and accessories. Models include Sony's first Flash Memory VAIO notebook, the VGN-TZ12VN/X, with a massive 32GB SSD Flash Drive.
