Worldwide personal computer sales posted robust second-quarter growth climbing 12 percent from a year earlier as Hewlett-Packard claimed the largest share of the world PC with unit shipments rising 37 percent.
Dell saw its shipments drop about 5 percent in the quarter and Lenovo Group reclaimed the No. 3 slot from rival Acer Inc in a close battle. Toshiba Corp lagged at fifth in the world.
