A-Data Technology said its monthly sales hit a record in August while maintaining solid ties with Samsung Electronics and other major NAND flash makers, said company sources.
The sources noted that A-Data is still enjoying relatively cheaper quotes from Samsung due to their long-established relationship. They added in saying that Samsung has trimmed the number of its major memory module clients in Taiwan from five to six in the past to three. The selected customers of Samsung are enjoying relatively cheaper quotes than other Samsung clients.
Besides Samsung, A-Data also lands NAND flash from Hynix Semiconductor, the sources said. Although many downstream players find it difficult to secure supply from Hynix recently, A-Data is not being affected, they added.
A-Data's sales breakdown between NAND flash and DRAM was 52:48 in July and the company should see further growth in NAND flash sales in August, alongside anticipated record-high sales, the sources noted.
