Both DRAM and NAND flash pricing will turn to worse towards the end of the year, said A-Data according to a source familiar with the company.
The overall DRAM market is in oversupply due to expanded capacity by many DRAM makers and yet demand has not risen to meet expectations, the company said.
Demand from motherboard and notebook makers is still good. DRAM is expected to see a mild price rebound in October along with a shipments peak among motherboard makers, the company said.
For the NAND flash market, the company expects to see Apple continue reducing its demand from mid-October, and that should foretell a weak pricing environment in November and December.
