Ulrich Schumacher, former CEO of Infineon Technologies AG who left the company about three years ago, has taken on the positions of president and CEO at foundry Grace Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp.
Schumacher started on Sept. 15 and also takes a seat on the board of directors of the foundry service provider.
"We are delighted that Dr. Ulrich Schumacher has decided to take on this role as President and CEO of Grace Semiconductor," said Grace chairman Don Yeshun. "Dr. Schumacher enjoys an unrivalled reputation worldwide as one of the best minds and leaders in the semiconductor industry."
Schumacher said he looks forward to join Grace. "It is an opportunity I could not resist," he said. "Grace is in an excellent position to become one of the leading PRC companies in the foundry market."
