Samsung Electronics said all its semiconductor production lines were operating normally after a brief power problem at its main chip plant complex near Seoul, South Korea.
A samsung spokesperson said " There was no damage from a 36-second incident during which power was unstable. An automatic system immediately switched on and all lines are operating normally."
The voltage drop incident occurred around mid afternoon local time last week.
Samsung's main chip manufacturing complex has been under scrutiny after it was hit by an extensive power outage on August 3 this year. That outage shut down six chip production lines at Samsung's sprawling Giheung complex.
