Lam Research Corp posted a better-than-expected rise in its fiscal fourth quarter revenue, paced by market share gains.
Lam said revenue climbed to $684.6 million. It reported revenue of $604.4 million in the year ago period, according to Reuters Research.
The company did not report net income or net income per share figures, because it is in the process of reviewing its historical stock option grant practices and its accounting.
In the previous, or third quarter, Fremont, California-based Lam said it had revenue of $6785. million.
Steve Newberry, Lam's chief executive, said in a statement that the company "produced another strong quarter, driven by sound operational execution and continued market share gains."
Revenue in North America accounted for 17 percent of the total, Europe for 9 percent, Japan for 14 percent, Korea for 25 percent and Asia Pacific for 35 percent, Lam said.
