ATE vendor Nextest Systems Corp. said revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 29 was $23 million, up 67 percent from the June 2007 quarter revenue of $13.8 million but down 14 percent from the September 2006 quarter revenue of $26.9 million.
Net income for the quarter was $1.9 million, or $0.10 per diluted share, compared with a net loss of $641,000 or minus $0.04 per diluted share in the June 2007 quarter. Net income for the September 2006 quarter was $4.8 million, or $0.25 per diluted share.
"Our September quarter performance was quite strong, driven by a rebounding flash memory market, and by important market share wins in the flash and SOC test sectors," said Robin Adler, CEO of Nextest, in a statement.
Net revenue in the December 2007 quarter is expected to be between $26 million and $30 million, with earnings per diluted share between $0.12 and $0.20.
