AMD said it is planning to launch two versions of its RV635 graphics chip, XT and Pro, in January and February next year according to several graphics card makers.
The RV635 XT will have a core frequency of 800MHz, and 256MB GDDR3 memory, while the RV635 Pro will have a core frequency of 600MHz, and 512MB GDDR2 memory. Both will support 128-bit memory bandwidth.
AMD will provide engineering samples of the RV635 Pro to its partners later this month.
