South Korea's Hynix Semiconductor Inc. posted a loss of 675 billion won ($677.4 million) in the first quarter, compared to a profit of 430 billion won ($431.7 million) a year ago.
Sales were 1.6 trillion won ($1.6 billion) in the first quarter, down 13 percent a year ago.
Hynix posted a loss of 467 billion won ($496 million) in the fourth quarter. Sales during the fourth quarter hit 1.73 trillion won ($1.84 billion).
