Hynix said it has extended its strategic alliance with ProMOS Technologies Inc to include Hynix’s licensing 50-nm-class DRAM stack process technology to ProMOS, while ProMOS gives Hynix access to DRAM products from its 300-mm fab capacity.

Hynix said it would file the technology transfer documents with the government immediately.

Also, Hynix said it would cooperate with financial investors to buy 8 to 10% of shares in ProMOS through private placement to strengthen their long-term cooperation relationship.
