TSMC said that its net sales on an unconsolidated basis were NT$28.094 billion ($875 million) in April, an increase of 5.8 percent over March 2008 and an increase of 24.8 percent over April 2007.

TSMC's revenues for January through April 2008 totaled NT$113.324 billion ($3.676 billion), an increase of 32 percent compared to the same period in 2007.

United Microelectronics Corp. (UMC) said its net sales on an unconsolidated basis were NT$8.521 billion ($276.4 million) in April, an increase of 0.27 percent over March 2008 and an increase of 4.79 percent over April 2007.

UMC's revenues for January through April 2008 totaled NT$32.524 billion ($1.054 billion), an increase of 4.39 percent compared to the same period in 2007.
