Hynix Semiconductor Inc said the U.S. Commerce Department has decided to remove a 23.78% punitive tariff on the import of its dynamic random access memory, or DRAM, chips.
The department, in an earlier preliminary ruling, said it would lower countervailing subsidies on DRAM shipments from 2006 to 4.91%.
The preliminary ruling is expected to be finalized Nov.
