Sony is offering a recall for Vaio VGN-TZ100, VGN-TZ200, VGN-TZ300 and VGN-TZ2000 series notebooks, according to Sony
Sony has identified that a small number of the mentioned notebooks may overheat due to a wiring problem prompting the company to initiate a voluntary recall program in order to perform a free inspection and, if necessary, repair.
The company will offer on-site repair at a customer's home or office, or they can choose to ship the notebook to a company service center.
Sony estimated that around 72,800 units are affected. Sony has received 15 reports of overheating, including one report of a customer suffering minor burns, prompting the recall.
