VIA Technologies has reported September 2008 revenues of only NT$562 million (US$17.47 million), drops of 22.9% on month and 52.48% on year.

The company's combined revenues from January to September this year reached NT$6.43 billion, a drop of 47.32% compared to NT$12.21 billion during the same period last year.

The company pointed out that due to the declining US economy, many of its clients have reduced order volumes which impacted September performance. The company warned that it may not meet its original third-quarter quidence. If demand starts to pick up in the fourth quarter, the company said it is possible performance during the period could at least hold level sequentially.
