Kingston Technology has expanded its presence in the DRAM module and NAND flash applications market in China.

Kingston Technology said its market share in China rises to 50% in the DRAM segment, and over 40% in the NAND flash segment, according recent data compiled by China's industry sources.

Kingston 's representative for the Greater China region, stated that Kingston's DRAM module shipments to the China market are estimated to climb 30% in 2008, and shipments of NAND flash products to China will go up 50%. Though falling DRAM and NAND flash prices have resulted in lower average selling prices (ASPs) for the company's products, shipments have grown significantly.

The DRAM industry remains in the doldrums amid the global economic downturn, but Kingston remains optimistic about the industry, as players are now cautiously monitoring their inventories and there is little room for further price declines, kingston representative added.
