Foundry chip supplier Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp. (Shanghai, China) is in discussions over the sale of a strategic stake in itself to the world's largest chip manufacturer Intel Corp., according to a Reuters report.
The report cited didn't name its sources but said they were familiar with the talks. The report added that a SMIC spokeswoman declined to comment.
