Intel reported Q4 revenue of $8.2 billion, an operating income of $1.5 billion with a net income of $234 million. This is a substantial decline compared to Q3's results with $8.7 billion in revenue, and $1.3 billion in net profits.
For all of 2008, Intel reported revenues of $37.6 billion, an operating income of $9 billion and a net income of $5.3 billion. Intel generated $11 billion in cash from its operations, paid cash dividends to shareholders totaling $3.1 billion, and used $7.1 billion to repurchase 324 million shares of common stock.
Intel's business outlook for 2009 included some key factors. Intel estimates R&D spending to be $5.4 billion. Capital spending will be flat or slightly down compared to 2008. Intel expects to accumulate $4.8 billion in appreciation.
