Acer has started selling its first CULV-based ultra-thin notebook – the 13.3-inch Timeline 3810T. The notebook adopts Intel's Core 2 Solo SU3500 CPU and GS45 chipset, along with a 320GB hard drive and Windows Vista Home Basic. The notebook is priced at NT$26,900 (US$810), according to industry sources.
Meanwhile, Asustek Computer has prepared seven models for its U and UX series ultra-thin notebook line, however, only three models are equipped with Intel's CULV platform – the 12.1-inch U20A weighing 1.75kg, the 13.3-inch UX30 weighing 1.6kg, and 15.5-inch UX50V weighing 2.6kg, the sources noted.
