Memory-module maker A-Data Technology has announced revenues for July 2009 increased 26% on month to NT$2.59 billion (US$79.3 million), with shipments up more than 25%. The company also saw July sales up 1.09% compared to NT$2.56 billion a year ago.
A-Data said sales generated from DRAM modules grew 34.66% sequentially to NT$1.12 billion in July, and the NAND flash segment was up 20.15% to NT$1.47 billion. In addition, shipments of DDR3 modules have grown substantially, according to the company.
Average pricing for 1Gb DDR2 and DDR3 chips rose 4.59% and 10.07% sequentially in July, said A-Data, adding that it expects the continued price rally to contribute to revenue growth in August.
The respective spot prices for 1Gb DDR2 and 1Gb DDR3 continued to rise to US$1.33 and US$2.14 as of 11:00 am Taiwan time (UTC+8) today (August 5), compared to US$1.21 and US$1.95 during the morning session on July 24
