Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (TSMC) said sales were approximately NT$30.28 billion ($922.3 million) for July, an increase of 17.5 percent over June 2009 and a decrease of 1.9 percent from July 2008. Revenues for January through July 2009 totaled NT$139.84 billion ($4.26 billion), a decrease of 30.7 percent compared to the same period in 2008.

United Microelectronics Corp. (UMC) reported unaudited net sales NT$8.81 billion ($268.4 million) for the month of July 2009, up 6.97 percent from the previous month and up 3.2 percent from a year ago.

From January to July, UMC's sales are NT$42.28 billion ($1.29 billion), down 26.82 percent from a year ago.
