Nanya Technology has announced revenues of NT$3.65 billion (US$111 million) for August 2009, and saw the on-year growth improve to negative 8% compared to double-digit drops from May through July.
Its joint venture with Micron Technology, Inotera Memories, also posted a narrower on-year drop compared to the previous three months.
Nanya saw August sales grow 11% sequentially, attributing to a rally in DRAM contract prices. Revenues for the first eight months of 2009 reached NT$21.21 billion, down 21% from NT$26.89 billion a year ago.
Inotera generated revenues of NT$3.18 billion in August, up 10% sequentially but down 13% on year. The on-year decline showed improvement last month compared with over 20% drops in May-July. On a sequential basis, Inotera recorded a growth in August for the fifth straight month.
