Worldwide sales of Samsung Electronics' LED TVs surpassed 700,000 units in July, about four months after the product line was launched in March, according to the company.
Due to strong sales in North America, Europe and Korea markets, Samsung shipped 200,000 LED TVs in six weeks after the launch in March, and 500,000 units after 100 days.
Samsung estimates LED TV shipments to reach two million units in 2009, equivalent to about 10% of its total LCD TV shipments.
