Silicon Integrated System (SiS) has reported revenues of US$7.67 million for November 2009, down 46.8% on month, but still an increase of 29.7% on year.
Due to the fourth quarter being the traditional slow season while clients are conservative about inventory management, SiS expects its fourth quarter revenues will reach an amount between the revenues in the second and the third quarters at NT$1.08-1.34 billion.
With SiS' combined revenues for October and November already reaching NT$713 million, the company's fourth quarter forecast indicates that its December revenues will reach around NT$370-626 million. Some market watchers have forecast the company's revenues will only reach about NT$400 million.
SiS currently has five touchscreen ICs available with two having already passed Windows 7 certification and a third for 15.6-inch panels schedule to be submitted soon. The company also recently started shipping its first touchscreen IC orders. Meanwhile the company will start sending out samples of its USB 3.0 controller IC to clients in the first half of 2010.
