United Microelectronics Corp has reported sales for November that are 52 percent higher than they were in the same month a year before. This was mainly due to the dramatic falling away of sales in November 2008 and sales were roughly flat with October 2009.
United Microelectronics Corp. (UMC) reported net sales of NT$9.16 billion (about $284 million) for the month of November 2009, down 1.5 percent from the previous month and up 52.0 percent from a year ago. For the period January to November UMC's sales were NT$79.32 billion (about $2.46 billion), down 9.8 percent from the equivalent eleven months in 2008.
