ProMOS Technologies continued to generate a sequential revenue growth in November 2009 at NT$1.079 billion (US$33 million), the company's highest since November 2008. However, the figure represents a 21.2% decrease on an annual basis, and revenues for the first 11 months of 2009 amounted to NT$8.82 billion, a significant drop from NT$29.875 billion a year ago.
ProMOS has recently seen its utilization rate climb to 90%, according to company sources. The computer-memory chipmaker was quoted in previous reports as saying that it currently has a monthly capacity of 60,000 wafers at its 12-inch facilities, with utilization rebounding to 70-80%.
