Acer has launched a full HD 3D Vision-ready 1080p monitor, the GD245HQ/GD235HZ for 3D gaming, videos and other home entertainment uses.
The Acer GD245HQ/GD235HZ is already shipping in Europe and will be available in the US and Asia starting in the first quarter of 2010.
The 3D experience is enabled by Nvidia 3D Vision technology, adding depth to the image displayed on the flat surface of the monitor thanks to a combination of three simple elements: a high performance display unit, a PC with a compatible graphics card and special 3D shutter eyeglasses.
The Acer GD245HQ/GD235HZ features a panel with 16:9 aspect ratio, 1,920x1,080 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 2ms response time, HDMI connectivity with HDCP support, 80,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and is optimized by Acer Adaptive Contrast Management technology.
In the third quarter of 2009, Acer ranked third for LCD monitors in the EMEA, Pan America and Asia Pacific regions, according to data by DisplaySearch
