A-Data Technology has posted net profits of NT$702 million (US$22.08 million) in the fourth quarter of 2009, bringing net earnings for all of the year to NT$21.3 billion.
A-Data said revenues for 2009 grew 20.2% to NT$34.84 billion, and announced its return to profitability following losses of NT$2.02 billion a year ago.
A-Data's fourth-quarter net profits rose 5% from NT$669 million in the third quarter of 2009, and represented substantial improvement from losses of NT$965 million in fourth-quarter 2008.
A-Data aims to hit record revenues and profits in 2010, when the markets for smartphones, touchscreen PCs and all-in-one PCs set to boost demand for DRAM and NAND flash. The memory module maker said it is confident of seeing revenues and profits grow significantly on year in the first half of the year.
