HTC (High Tech Computer) mobile handset may hit a new high of 4.5 million units in the second quarter of 2010 compared to 3.5 million projected for the first quarter.

Shipments of new models, including Android-based HTC Desire, HTC Legend and HTC Incredible (for Verizon Wireless) and Windows Mobile-based HTC HD mini, will help drive shipment growth in the second quarter.

The HTC Desire, Incredible and HD mini are all built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon platform.
