Acer's board of directors has approved the financial results for 2009, which marked record highs in consolidated revenues of NT$573.98 billion (US$17.9 billion) representing 5% annual growth and operating income of NT$15.34 billion (US$479 million) with 9% annual growth.
The 2009 profit after tax (PAT) was NT$11.35 billion (US$354 million), which includes relatively minor income investment disposal and comprises almost in entirety of Acer's core business income. Excluding investment disposal gains, the 2009 PAT represents 29% growth over 2008. Meanwhile, 2009 earning per share (EPS) was NT$4.3.
For the fourth quarter of 2009 results, Acer's consolidated revenues were NT$168.2 billion (US$5.3 billion) with 25% growth on year. Operating income was NT$4.97 billion (US$155 million), marking 25% growth on year. Both results also achieved historical highs.
Acer's shareholders meeting will be held in Taipei on June 18, 2010.
