Rumors are running rampant again that IBM Corp. is looking to sell its chip unit.
For years, the rumors have been on and off that IBM wants to sell its Microelectronics unit. Some say GlobalFoundries Inc. is a possible suitor. Others say IBM Micro is too expensive and not worth the trouble. ''Who wants IBM Micro? Nobody,’’ says one analyst.
