United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) has reported revenues of NT$10.09 billion (US$312 million) for May 2010, up 8.3% on month. On an annual basis, the figure showed 34.3% growth compared to NT$7.51 billion posted in the same month of 2009.

UMC saw revenues through May amount to NT$46.12 billion, up 82.8% from 2009.

Revenues for April and May totaled NT$19.41, according to UMC. The foundry has not given a revenue estimate for the second quarter, but expects wafer shipments to rise by a high single-digit percentage rate on quarter.
