ProMOS Technologies saw revenues grow 4% sequentially in June 2010, buoyed by the ramp-up of 63nm technology and rising contract orders, according to the DRAM maker.
ProMOS posted revenues of 2.13 billion (US$66 million) in June, up from NT$2.05 billion in May. The June figure showed a 186.6% jump from a year ago, when the company saw revenues decline 78.9% on year to NT$742 million.
ProMOS's accumulated revenues for the first six months of 2010 reached NT$10.67 billion, up 170% from 2009.
ProMOS recently announced its successful pilot runs of 1Gb DDR3 employing Elpida Memory's 63nm technology. ProMOS expects the node to be its major production node in the third quarter of 2010, and help improve its cost structure.
ProMOS is also sticking to its plans to diversify its business to include niche DRAM and flash products, according to the company. The memory maker was quoted in previous reports as saying it would allocate half of its capacity to non-standard DRAM products starting in 2011.
