Transcend Information has reported revenues of NT$2.67 billion (US$84 million) for July 2010, up 13.2% from June.
The taiwan memory module maker expects revenues for August to continue growing on month, helped by higher sales of its NAND flash business.
Transcend said its NAND flash products generated sales of NT$1.49 billion in July, compared to NT$1.27 billion in June. The segment accounted for 55.9% of its total revenues in the month.
Sales of Transcend's strategic products, such as digital photo frames and portable electronics devices, also grew to NT$490 million to account for 18.3% of the company's total revenues in July. The segment contributed NT$389 million, or 16.5%, to Transcend's total sales in June.
In contrast, Transcend saw sales of its DRAM modules slide to NT$688 million in July from NT$703 million in June. The segment accounted for 25.8% of Transcend's total July revenues, compared with almost 30% in June.
Revenues for all of the third quarter are expected to grow on quarter, Transcend said, without disclosing figures. The company expects demand to pick up on seasonality, and consumer confidence in Europe to gradually restore.
Transcend saw revenues drop 17% sequentially to NT$6.67 billion in the second quarter. The company will hold an investors conference Wednesday (August 11) to review its performance during the quarter, and offer guidance for the third quarter.
