United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) has announced revenues of NT$10.82 billion (US$342 million) for July 2010, up 4.7% on month and 22.8% on year.
Accumulated revenues for January through July amounted to NT$67.28 billion, a 59.2% increase from the same period of 2009 where sales were NT$42.28 billion.
UMC expects revenues to increase 5-11% sequentially in the third quarter, CEO Shih-Wei Sun said at a recent company investors conference. Wafer shipments during the period are likely to grow 1-5% on quarter, with a 4-6% rise in ASPs, according to Sun.
