Foxconn Electronics posted revenues of NT$196.17 billion (US$6.16 billion) in July 2010, although down slightly by 0.63% on month, the figure is the company's second-highest monthly revenues and represents a 53.06% rise from a year earlier.
Revenues for January through July reached NT$1.13 trillion, up 56.26% on year.
The company pointed out that weakening demand in the IT industry recently slightly impacted the company's sales performance in July; however, the company still saw revenue growth in most of its product lines including consumer electronics, PCs and communications products.
As for whether Foxconn's recent aggressive actions in moving and expanding its production lines in China will impact its sales performance in the short term, the company noted that it has already gone through detailed evaluations and the moves should not have any impact on its sales.
Meanwhile, Foxconn Precision Components (FPC), another member of the Foxconn Group, announced consolidated revenues of NT$6.11 billion for July, dropping 27.56% on month and 37.35% on year, with consolidated revenues for the first seven months in 2010 reaching NT$69 billion, a drop of 15.91% on year.
