Transcend Information saw revenues decrease 5.19% on month to US$79 million in August 2010, as sales of its DRAM modules and NAND devices both declined sequentially.
Transcend said August sales of its NAND flash products dropped to NT$1.43 billion, from NT$1.49 billion in July. Meanwhile, DRAM modules generated NT$635 million in sales in August, down from NT$688 million in the prior month.
Sales of Transcend's strategic products, which include digital photo frames and portable electronics devices, also slid on month to NT$472 million in August, the company indicated.
Transcend's sales ratio between NAND flash devices, DRAM modules and others was 56:25:19 in August 2010, compared to 48:40:12 a year ago.
Transcend expects recent CPU price cuts by Intel to help stimulate PC demand, the company said, adding that its September revenues are likely to be between NT$2.6 billion and NT$2.7 billion.
