Internet company Netflix has just launched their movie streaming service in Canada.
The service, previously available in the United States allows users to stream movies and television shows over the internet.
Initially the company was a DVD mailing service that allowed consumers to rent DVDS watch them and then mail them back.
With the downloading of movies becoming as popular as it is now, video stores are slowly being pushed out of business due to the drop in demand for them.
Co-founder and CEO Reed Hastings will be speaking in Toronto later today to explain the service and what Canadians can expect.
The DVD mailing aspect of Netflix will not be offered in Canada, and it is not yet known how big the movie library will be.
