Transcend Information saw revenues climb 17.3% sequentially to US$96 million in September 2010, driven by shipments of NAND flash products.
Transcend revealed its NAND flash business generated NT$1.78 billion in sales, which accounted for 59.8% of the company's total revenues in September. Meanwhile, sales of its DRAM modules were NT$716 million to contribute 24.1% to its overall September revenues.
Buoyed by a warming-up of demand for flash memory cards, small-size memory cards and portable drives, Transcend saw September shipments of its NAND flash products rise 44% from August, the company indicated.
However, shipments of Transcend's DRAM modules dropped 5% sequentially in September, due to a continued slowdown in demand for PCs, the company said.
In addition, September shipments of Transcend's other products, which include digital photo frames and portable electronics devices, were flat on month, according to the company. The segment made up the remaining 16.1% of Transcend's total revenues in September.
Fellow company Adata Technology collected revenues of NT$3.45 billion in September, up 1.7% on month.
