Adata Technology saw its revenues of NT$2.86 billion (US$92.4 million) for October 2010 drop 17.1% on month and 34.49% on year, with January-October revenues of NT$35.489 billion increasing on year by 36.12%.
Adata brought in revenues of NT$1.713 billion from DRAM and those of NT$1.47 billion from NAND flash in October, slipping 22.14% and 10.36% respectively on month, the company indicated. The larger sequential decrease for DRAM was caused by a continued drop of over 15% in DDR3 prices due to oversupply, Adata pointed out.
Adata expects revenues to drop further in November and, to cope with the situation, will lower inventory levels to 3-4 weeks, the company indicated.
