Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) has announced revenues of NT$242.91 billion (US$8.05 billion) for October 2010, down 4.2% on month, but up 49.8% on year. Since market demand is strong in November, market watchers expect the company's revenues for the month to reset the historical record achieved in September, but Foxconn declined to comment on its November performance.
For October, Foxconn's computer, communication and consumers electronics products all saw stable shipments, but due to Taiwan's rising exchange rate plus China's National Day holidays, the company had a slight revenue drop on-month.
Microsoft's recently launched Kinect for Xbox 360 is also expected to benefit Foxconn's sales in November as the company has landed 50% of the device's orders
