Acer shipped 9.775 million PC products in the fourth quarter of 2010, down 17% on quarter and 15% on year due to a slowdown in netbook shipments.
Acer has said that it won't be able to reach its earlier projection for a sequential 5-10% growth in consolidated revenues for the fourth quarter as its PC sales in a number markets in Europe were affected by snow storms.
Acer has also reiterated that it will not give up netbook sales at the moment and will launch tablet PCs in the second quarter.
Global PC shipments grew 2.7% on year in the fourth quarter of 2010.
