According to some leaked screenshots obtained by Boy Genius Report, Apple may soon introduce the ability to navigate around iOS using multitouch gestures.
One screen shot shows the option to turn multitouch gestures on or off. Below that, it says "four or five fingers" can be used to pinch to the homescreen, swipe up to reveal the multiasking bar, or even swipe left or right between applications. It sounds like a pretty intuitive way to move around the operating system, although as BGR points out, the small display on the iPhone could make it a bit hard to squeeze five fingers onto.
It's unclear what version of Apple's iOS this will be introduced with, but we hope it's part of the upcoming iOS 4.3 update.
