Rumors on iPhone 5 features

Monday, January 24, 2011 Quite a lot of rumors have emerged regarding the iPad 2.0. It is already known that it will be faster, lighter, slimmer, feature better screen compared to existing model. But what can we say about the iPhone 5? What can we expect from the iPhone 5?

According to various rumors, Apple has added component suppliers for the iPhone 5, such as Foxlink, Foxconn Electronics, Epistar as well as Gold Circuit Electronics. The Apple’s iPhone is planned to be released during summer at the earliest.

It has been recently revealed that Kinsus Interconnect Technology is a supplier of silicon used for the new Qualcomm baseband chip of iPhone. It looks like it will be a combined GSM/CDMA chip, which means that all Verizon users will have an opportunity to use the handset even in small countries when travelling.

It is also hoped that the iPhone 5 will pack in new A5 CPU of Apple that is based on Cortex A9 architecture of ARM. This multi-core processor will boost the speed of the handset. Also it is expected that the handset will use the new dual-core SGX543 graphics core, which means there will be an ability to record 1,080p videos.

Do not even think that the new iPhone 5 will be an early prototype of iPhone 4. The new device is already in use and being tested.

Moreover, the iPhone 5 will probably be supportive to a new iOS feature, known as “Media Stream.” It is regarded as Apple’s move into social networking, it will be more than just a photo gallery feature.

It is expected that the iPhone 5 may be supportive to 3D games and there are possibilities that the handset will be available on Sprint, a third US carrier.
