Nanya Technology has posted an on-year revenue decrease for the fifth straight month in January 2011, while fellow DRAM company Inotera Memories' revenues declined for the fourth consecutive month.
Nanya generated revenues of NT$3.44 billion (US$119 million) in January, down 27% from a year earlier. The figure also slipped from the NT$4.05 billion posted in December 2010.
Inotera posted revenues of NT$3.22 billion for January, down 19% on year but up 3.4% from the previous month.
Several Taiwan DRAM companies, including Nanya, expect prices to start recovering as early as the first quarter
